# I Can't Believe My Daughter is Graduating from College

When I **[started this blog](https://stacisalazar.com/how-do-they-do-that/)**, our oldest daughter, Cheyenne, was 12 years old! Twelve! Over the past 10+ years, she has grown into a beautiful young woman right in front of your eyes. Crazy, right?!

# Graduating from College

Together, you and I, we've watched her learn to drive, head off to [youth camp](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/disney-channels-bunkd/), attend [mission trips](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/seasons-of-life/), go to prom, start dating, graduate high school, get engaged, and then (soon after) [married](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/to-the-boy-marrying-my-baby-girl/). It's gone so fast!

This Friday she and her husband graduate from college! I don't feel old. *Do you feel old?* When I tell others that she is graduating – FROM COLLEGE – the first thing they typically say is,

> "You aren't old enough to have a kid graduating from college!"

I know, right?! But apparently I am... and she's doing it anyways!

My baby, my oldest daughter, is finishing another chapter in her fascinating journey of life. She continues to [mark off milestones](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/on-being-the-mother-of-the-bride/) just as one would expect and hope.

Although with her [college classes](https://www.ourfamilylifestyle.com/amazon-prime-student/), she isn't just checking things off; she is also taking names and kicking some booty doing it.

She loves school, really enjoys learning (looks like [homeschooling](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/tag/homeschool/) worked out well for her) and is actually sad to be graduating. She's made great friends, excellent grades, and a lifetime of memories.

Alas, the time has come to walk that stage, bring home a Bachelor's Degree, and head out into the workforce.

Oh, and the fun part?

## She majored in Marketing.

You know; the field her dad and I have found ourselves living in for the past 10 years because of the blog. That part amuses me a bit considering she's always been the least interested in what we do.

Crazy how it all [comes around full circle](https://ourfamilylifestyle.com/not-enough-summers/) though, right? All I know right now, at this moment, is how incredibly proud Colby and I are of both her and Nic.

They've worked effortlessly to keep their grades up, get married, hold steady jobs, [build a house](https://www.ourfamilylifestyle.com/lessons-learned-from-building-a-house/), and push through to the finish line. As a parent, there's not much more we could ask for.

#### Congratulations to the Class of 2018!
